Ah, the joy.

And once again I find myself sitting in the secretary’s chair, having done a day of photocopying and filing. It’s days like these that make me wonder why I even consider staying on here. And then all of a sudden, I’ll be caught up in some research, that I find really interesting, and I’ll wonder why I ever considered giving up and having children now, when I have years ahead of me!

In other news, I ran 4 miles last night!!! A personal best. Something I really wouldn’t have been able to imagine myself doing 6 months ago. Running gear was going cheap at Aldi this week, so I got myself kitted out for spring. Almost died when I saw myself in the skin tight shorts in the mirror, but I guess I’ve got a few more months to get rid of the thunder thighs before the weather is up to shorts anyway. Am certainly doing well on eating better – I’m in the secretary’s chair because she, along with everybody else is eating cake because one of the professors is leaving. I opted to stay here and man the phone instead – that way i don’t have to watch everybody else eat cake! I may be doing ok, but I’m not that strong-willed just yet.

Babysitting tonight. Probably going to be on the way home exactly when Grey’s Anatomy is on. Typical, and I haven’t set the computer to record it….
